Client & Problem

TWRC2025 is a special event run by the National Science Museum, aimed at helping kids and young people build stronger critical thinking skills. To make the event a success, they needed a simple but powerful web app that could handle reservations for hundreds of visitors at once.

The challenge? Build it from scratch in just one month, on a tight budget — while still making sure it could hold up under heavy traffic.

Result

The platform went live and delivered big:

  • Over 1,000 tickets sold
  • Successfully handled 250+ concurrent users in real time
  • Achieved an 86% user satisfaction rate based on feedback
  • 99% error-free, even at peak hours

Solution

We built a real-time slot booking system with all the essentials:

  • Secure online payments
  • A friendly reservation flow for users
  • A robust admin dashboard for event staff

What We Did

To meet the tight deadline, we kept things lean and focused:

  1. Design – Created streamlined wireframes and user flows to meet core needs.
  2. Development – Built the booking engine, payments, and admin tools.
  3. Testing – Conducted stress testing to ensure stability under heavy load.
  4. Launch – Deployed everything in time for the event.

Data-Driven Growth

Throughout the event, we tracked how the system was performing in real time. This helped us confirm it could handle high concurrency, monitor errors (which stayed very low), and give the museum team useful insights into how visitors were booking their slots.

Key Challenges

The biggest challenge was time. With only a month to get it done, we had to cut down on design polish and invest more in development and testing. This way, we made sure the system was rock solid where it mattered most.

Future Outlook

TWRC ran successfully for two months, meeting all expectations. While this was a one-off event, the project showed the platform’s potential to be adapted and scaled for future events, whether for the National Science Museum or other educational initiatives.
