NocNoc look to leveraged AI-driven personalization to make product discovery seamless and intuitive, helping more visitors convert quickly while increasing the size and speed of their purchases.

Result

The project is still ongoing, but early R&D has laid the foundation for a new AI-powered recommendation funnel. The expected outcomes include:

Solution

Given the wide scope, drived.dev started by identifying key user pain points:

First-time homeowners & occasional renovators

  • Typically inspired by platforms like Pinterest and Instagram.
  • They wanted to bring their dream house ideas into reality but struggled to translate images and inspiration into purchasable products on NocNoc.

Everyday buyers

  • Focused on speed and convenience.
  • Limited search capabilities made it difficult for them to quickly find what they needed.

We chose to focus on the dream-home builders—roughly 40% of NocNoc’s buyers—because they spend more on average and offer a powerful opportunity to differentiate. By creating tailored solutions for this segment, we laid the foundation for scalable AI-driven personalization across the entire platform.

The system then analyzes the image and presents similar styles, products, and mood boards from NocNoc’s catalog, helping users connect their ideas with real options.

Finally, users can browse and purchase matching or complementary products directly on the platform, making the transition from inspiration to purchase seamless.

By framing the process this way, we aimed to reduce friction, build trust in the AI suggestions, and help NocNoc’s users move naturally from dreaming to doing.

Key Challenges

One of the harder parts of the project was striking the right balance between what’s technically possible and what feels good for users. An AI recommender isn’t just about getting high accuracy — if the suggestions feel random or disconnected, users won’t trust it.

We spent a lot of time in R&D, experimenting with different models for detecting and classifying furniture more accurately. On the design side, we thought through how to surface AI suggestions in a helpful, intuitive way—so that users feel guided, not pressured or confused.

Future Outlook

With the new AI-driven funnel, NocNoc is projected to significantly improve customer satisfaction, while opening opportunities for:

  • Better customer acquisition, especially among first-time homeowners inspired by design platforms.
  • Increased cross-sell potential, as the AI learns to recommend complementary products.
  • A long-term roadmap toward scalable personalization that can eventually serve both inspiration-driven and everyday buyers seamlessly.
